Baluchi Laj, Baluchi Mehr

Baluchi Laj, Baluchi Mehr sometimes becomes very complicated to deal with. I mean so fragile and so delicate these two words and what they signify,
are.. in Baluch society ..that either you , as a matter of dealing with Baluchs, will have to be totally humble with, stay obedient to, stand by (Laj and Mehr)or.. or.. you will have to take the risk of hurting the easily-hurting sensibilities of the Baluchs. These sensibilities of Baluchs and these fragile values are as if.. your hands are overtaken in veritable thin and fine threads of twisted fibre, which if you deal with concretely and a bit harshly might cause the total break down of the relation with. To be a friend of a Baluch is tantamount to dealing with sensitive creatures for whom Laaj and Mehr are the top most concern. Perhaps.. Trying not to understand these values of Laj and Mehr and these sensibilities are the very reason for political instability of the Baluch society that the political forces fail to understand completely. To rule Baluchs is to rule fragile creatures of acute sensibilities. To deal with Baluch is to deal with the sensitive creatures of emotions that can't at any cost tolerate harshness of any kind.

What Baluch & his Baluchi is except its very obvious values of Laj and Mehr?

'Personal Responsibilities'

In Pakistan, beforing going on travel .. people often recite some verses of Holy Quran and bid words of prayer to God in order to reach safe and sound to the desired desination. Even though reciting verses of Holy Book and praying to God for 'safety' cause no harm, yet performing these acts at the expense/cost of 'one's responsibilities/duties/ respect/care for the traffic rules and regulation ' is obviously not an intelligent, judicious and sensible act.  To recite verses and to bid words of prayers for safety is desirable, yet to be negligent of one's responsibility to take care of traffic rules and regulation is absolutely wrong/insensible/ destructive. Religious teachings are for bringing light/ understanding/ awareness/sense of responsibility in the life. It is not about justifying our carelessness and running away from responsibilities. Life is all about responsibilities that we owe to ourselves . Human nature  tends to have recourse to short-cuts i...

To avoid real embarrassment in life, feel shame in petty issue& be assertive.

To avoid real embarrassment in life, feel shame in petty issue&be assertive. I agree with it. It's saying quite right. In order to avoid bigger embarrassment in life,we must learn to own our petty mistakes whilst dealing with the problems of daily life. Let me share a short but highly disturbing problem of my student life in relation to this statement which I personally went through& to be honest, still going through  the process. Not to be able to speak fluent english without hesitation has been my  problem. After having a considerble command over basic grammar & composition ; tenses, passive voices, infinitives, narrations, paragraph writing, extension, letter writing, etc. I had incessantly been struggling to improve my english speaking skills. Although, my efforts had paid off to great extent by the grace of my Allah, yet I feel  not only deficient while it comes to speaking, it made me disappointed most of the time too. I had been unable to remove the ...

My Peer Group

Q: What class traits define your peer group? For example, what speech patterns or clothing trends do you and your friends share? What cultural elements, such as taste in music or hobbies, define your peer group? How do you see this set of class trait as different from other classes either above or below yours? Ans: Class traits of my peer groups are the following: We are middle class students, with similar interests, in the social hierarchy. We are not either superrich or in poverty. Secondly, We belong to one social group ethnically. We are Balochs. We have a distint culture, customs, social norms, moral values, and language. Our cultural identity distinguishes us from other social groups. Our speech patterns are distinct, specific and well-defined. Our clothing style is apparent and noticeable. What defines my peer group is our taste for music and our inclination for reading. We off and on play Balochi sarinda with great affection. Balochi sarinda  is a stringed Ba...
